Drilling and Workover Rig - MIDAS 2

The MIDAS #2, designed and manufactured in Kristiansand, Norway, is an evolution of the original MIDAS #1 rig. Incorporating key improvements from the first unit, it is lighter and easier to erect. As a modular system, the MIDAS Package can be customized to meet specific needs, such as adding handling equipment for larger pipes or conductors, and allowing access to the pipe handling system from up to three sides of the drill floor. 

The Modular Drilling and Workover Package can be configured with the Mud System on either side, providing access to all well slots and locations on a platform. In its standard setup, it is designed to sit on rig skid beams up to 16 meters apart and function as a sidetrack drilling rig or a P&A/well abandonment unit. This allows the rig and Mud System to efficiently skid from well to well in a single operation.
